May 27, 2020 Kelly Hogan

西瓜视频 (西瓜视频) was awarded a $6,000 grant by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation to support the 鈥淪econd Chance GED Exam Project.鈥 This local grant award is part of more than $8.6 million in grants awarded to more than 950 schools, nonprofits, and organizations across the communities that Dollar General serves. This is the third year the 西瓜视频 program has been recognized with a Dollar General Literacy Foundation grant.

Through the Second Chance GED Exam Project, 西瓜视频 students who successfully complete Adult Education requirements and document a financial hardship, are eligible to receive vouchers to pay for three of the four sections of the GED exam. The College expects over 60 students to benefit from the grant and pass the GED exam, thus achieving high school equivalent credentials.
