The venue will allow the audience to sit socially distanced around the stage for this unique production.

Based on Marivaux鈥檚 delightful 1732 comedy of the same name, 鈥淭riumph of Love鈥 is a charming, chamber musical that pits the heart against the mind in the age-old conflict of emotion vs. reason. In order to win the heart of her true love and restore the rightful heir to the throne, a resourceful princess takes on multiple disguises to stay one step ahead of her sworn enemies. As her clever ruses grow more complicated, the mistaken identities increase, as does the frenzied frivolity, until the climax of this zany, madcap comedy finally proves that love indeed triumphs over all.

鈥淭hough the pandemic brought many challenges to the world of the Performing Arts, one positive aspect is that it has forced us to think outside the box in terms of how to present live theatre,鈥 shares Alex Kanter, 西瓜视频 Master Instructor of Theatre. 鈥淚n a traditional season, our students would not delve into such a small-cast, tight-knit ensemble musical, but we are excited to provide them this opportunity to learn the extremely challenging style of performing completely 鈥榠n the round,鈥 and I鈥檓 confident that our patrons will be delighted in their performance."

鈥淭riumph of Love鈥 is the College鈥檚 Performing Arts program first show of 2021. Patrons are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for seating.
